What rules do I need to follow when teaching minors?

When teaching Learners under the age of 18 on Ostathi, you are required to strictly follow our Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy. This policy outlines clear expectations and obligations to ensure a secure, professional, and appropriate online learning environment for younger Learners, in line with applicable laws and safeguarding best practices.

1. Safeguarding Standards for Interactions

Exclusive On-Platform Lessons:
All lessons involving minors must be conducted exclusively through Ostathi’s online platform, using the official tools provided by Ostathi for secure session management, monitoring, and recording.

No Off-Platform Contact:
One-on-one contact with minors outside the Ostathi platform is strictly prohibited. You may not communicate through personal messaging apps, social media, or any other channel outside the approved Ostathi system unless you have prior written approval.

Appropriate Conduct:
In all interactions with minors, you must use appropriate, respectful, and professional language at all times.

No Personal Information Exchange:
You must not share, request, store, or exchange personal contact information with minors, such as phone numbers, email addresses, WhatsApp, or social media accounts, unless necessary and with prior written approval.

Professional Environment:
Maintain professional audio and video settings during sessions. Your background, appearance, and displayed content must be appropriate and free from distracting or unsuitable material.

2. Instructor Obligations

Familiarization and Compliance:
You must read, understand, and fully comply with the Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy.

Consent to Monitoring and Recording:
By teaching on Ostathi, you consent to session monitoring and lesson recording by the platform.

No External Recording Sharing:
You must not save, distribute, or share lesson recordings outside the Ostathi system.

Reporting Suspected Incidents:
Any suspected incident involving inappropriate behavior, safeguarding concerns, or potential risk to a minor must be reported immediately by submitting a ticket through the Ostathi Help Center.

Consequences of Non-Compliance:
Ostathi reserves the right to suspend or permanently deactivate any account suspected of violating safeguarding rules, with or without prior notice.

By accepting the Terms and using the Ostathi platform, all users acknowledge their understanding of and agreement with the Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy.
