While it might seem easier, working off-platform exposes both learners and instructors to significant risks. Here is what you lose:
Secure & Guaranteed Payments:
- For Learners: On Ostathi, your payment is held securely and only released to the instructor after a successful session. If there's an issue, we can guarantee your refund. If you pay outside, your money has no protection.
- For Instructors: We guarantee you get paid for every session you deliver. You never have to chase payments. If you work outside, you risk not being paid for your time.
Your Privacy and Safety:
Keeping communication on Ostathi means you never have to share personal contact information like your phone number or private email. This protects you from unwanted contact and keeps the relationship professional and secure.
A Complete Official Record:
Our platform keeps a secure history of all messages, shared files, and even session recordings. This is an invaluable tool for reviewing lessons and serves as official proof if a dispute ever arises. These tools are only available on Ostathi.
Fair Dispute Resolution:
If a problem occurs—whether it's a technical issue, a scheduling conflict, or a quality concern—our support team is here to act as a fair, unbiased mediator. If you work outside the platform, you are on your own.
For these reasons, attempting to move transactions off-platform is a serious violation of our Terms of Service and will result in consequences, including immediate account suspension.
