What does “Slug” mean when creating a Group Session, and how should I write it?

The slug is the part of the web address (URL) that identifies your Group Session page on Ostathi. It appears at the end of your class link.

For example, if your slug is:

Your class link may look like this:

https://ostathi.com/group-classes/view/ielts-speaking-masterclass

If you are using Ostathi Jordan, the link may appear under the Jordan domain.

This slug helps Learners find your class easily and gives your link a clear, professional look.

Best practices for writing your slug:

  • Use simple, meaningful words that describe your class, such as ielts-preparation, graphic-design-basics, or conversation-skills.
  • Use lowercase letters only.
  • Separate words with hyphens - instead of spaces or underscores.
  • Avoid special characters and symbols.
  • Keep it short, clear, and relevant to your class title or topic.
  • Choose a unique slug. Two classes cannot have the same slug.
